Dr. Kurt Brennan grew up in Indianola and became interested in veterinary medicine through his father and brother who are veterinarians. He received his degree in biology from Luther College before attending and graduating with his degree in veterinary medicine from the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr Brennan and his wife Kelly have five boys and a black labrador mix named Riley. Kurt enjoys various athletics.

Dr. Joel Loomis grew up on a farm near Winterset, Iowa. In 2004, he graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He is married to a lovely lady named Beth and has a son named Micah and two beautiful daughters named Lucille and Joanna.  Joel enjoys athletics, hunting, fishing, and working outdoors.

Dr. Michael Foley is originally from Cedar Rapids, IA.  He studied Philosophy and Pre-Law at the University of Northern Iowa until 2007 and received his Bachelor of Liberal Science Degree from Iowa State University in 2012.  Michael then graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. He spends his spare time outdoors fishing, camping or backpacking and relaxing at home.  He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Matt Umphress is originally from Mason City, IA.  He received his bachelor's in animal science from Iowa State University and graduated from ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He loves spending time with his wife, Heather, and their two children. They love spending a lot of their time outdoors. They also really enjoy hiking with their Heeler mix, Zeppelin, backpacking, camping, and relaxing. He is an avid Cyclone fan and loves attending the football games in the fall.

Dr. Catharine Found is a born and raised Iowan.  She grew up playing many sports and ultimately played volleyball in college in San Antonio, TX.  Prior to veterinary school Dr. Found was an EMT and Paramedic, researcher, and worked with Habitat for Humanity.  Dr. Found received her Masters degree at the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2021 and graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.   Dr. Found loves working with both production animals and family pets. She has a special passion for preventative medicine.  In her free time you can find Dr. Found traveling, spending time in the great outdoors with her rescues, and is currently learning the banjo.  ¡Ella habla español! 

Marcia is from Graettinger, IA, a small town in northwest Iowa.  She attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA where she received her AS Degree in Accounting.  She has called Grinnell home since 1991.  She is married to husband Brian Hoffmann and between the two of them they have 1 daughter and 3 sons, and three grandkids. They enjoy spending time with family, camping, traveling, cookouts with friends and being outdoors.

Jessica is from southern Missouri, received her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 2014, moved to Grinnell in 2016, and married Benjamin in 2017. Jessica is also an equine barefoot hoof specialist, and a dog/human trainer because she loves to see happy and healthy dog/human relationships. She has two adventuresome kitties (Cricket & Paste), two horses (Stormy - Arabian and Willow - POA), and Susie and Lindy (field bred yellow labs).  Jessica and Benjamin raise small groups of pigs and grass fed/finished beef for the community. They love good food, growing plants and animals, traveling, and all the outdoor things.

Cheyenne grew up on a farm outside of Sully. She graduated high school in 2017. Currently she lives in Grinnell with her husband. She has two horses named Cookie & Dove. She also has a German Shepherd named LeRoy and a Golden Retriever named Mae. Cheyenne enjoys working with horses, spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys taking her dog on hikes and trails in the summer.

Michelle grew up near Chelsea, Iowa and graduated from South Tama in 2010. She attended Kirkwood Community College and received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Humane Officer Training and Veterinary Assisting. Michelle has 3 dogs - Luna a Beagle, Zuma a mini American Eskimo, and Willow an Australian Shepherd mix. She enjoys being outside, photography, and spending time with her nephews.

Ella grew up in Grinnell, Iowa and graduated from Grinnell-Newburg Highschool in 2021. Ella has worked in vet med since she graduated. She has worked as a kennel tech, receptionist and vet assistant. She particularly enjoys improving her skills with canine/feline grooming, dentals and the phlebotomy side of her job. Ella is married and enjoys spending time with her husband, Trae, and her rescue cocker-spaniel, Dolly. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, incorporating music into her day, baking, crafting and spending time outdoors. 

Leah has lived in Newton, IA for her whole life. She graduated from Newton high school in 2017 and then graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services in 2021. She is currently attending Penn Foster to get her degree in Veterinary Technology. She currently resides in Newton with her husband and children. She has three cats (Mia, Bubastis & Clover) and one dog (George). She has a strong love for cats and really enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

Morgan grew up in Hudson, Iowa, and graduated from Hudson High School in 2019. She then studied Animal Science and Healthcare Administration at Hawkeye Community College and Mercy College of Health Sciences. Morgan's love for animals began through 4H and FFA, showing cattle, goats, and swine. In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending time with family and friends at Lake Ponderosa where she lives with her boyfriend and their daughter. 

Sterling grew up outside of Brooklyn and currently resides in Malcom with her husband, Cody. She graduated Des Moines Area Community College in spring of 2022 with AAS Degree in Veterinary Technology and after receiving this degree, she passed her National and State Veterinary Boards in the fall of the same year. She has also had the privilege of taking classes to receive her Entrepreneurship Certification. She grew up being heavily involved in 4H and FFA, where she showed many species, mainly cattle. In her free time she likes spending time cheering on her brother in his hobbies, being with family and friends, and snuggling with her three dogs (Maizey, Millie, and Mable) and two cats (Trixie and Kitty).

Paige grew up outside of Lynnville. She graduated high school in 2024. She currently lives in Sully with her boyfriend Mitchell and has two boxers named Ruby and Nala. In her free time she enjoys hunting, playing volleyball, watching a movie with some delicious popcorn, going on family trips to Decorah to go trout fishing and also loves outdoor activities.

Cami grew up on the family farm in central Kansas, she received her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in December of 2022 then passed her National and State Veterinary Boards in the spring and earned her RVT license. She married Nathan in 2024 and then moved to Brooklyn. She has one rambunctious kitty named Max and a super sweet yellow lab named Honey. Cami enjoys going for walks/hikes with her dog and husband, drawing, painting, watching a good show and doing outdoor activities.

Cierra grew up a Poweshiek County native as she is from Malcom and graduated from BGM. She attended Hawkeye Community College where she received her Associate's Degree in Animal Science. She then attended Iowa State University for her Bachelor's in Animal Science. She is currently finishing up another 2 year degree from Hawkeye in Human Resource Management. When Cierra does have free time, she enjoys being outside, reading, and relaxing with her pets. (English Setter - Quinn & Kitty - Skye a.k.a Sweet Pea)

Lacey grew up in Gilman, Iowa and graduated from East Marshall High School in 2009. She is married and has two children. Lacey also has 2 Australian Shepherds, Cami and Dixie, and a Lab named Gabbi. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book and just relaxing. She is also a huge fan of the TV show Friends and can quote just about every single episode.

Briley grew up in many different states including Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. Briley graduated from DMACC in 2022 with a baking degree. She found her love of animals when she got her first cat at eight years old. She shares her home with three cats Oakland, Izzy, and LBK and her 10 year old goldfish Dave. In her free time she enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Jillian came to Iowa from the twin cities. She started her love of animals professionally as a groomer and soon went into the veterinary hospital field as a receptionist, assistant and practice manager. She has a son named Gavin who is a recent high school graduate. In her free time she likes to spend time with family and friends as well as serve on an animal rescue board. She has a love of dogs, cats and elephants. She shares her home with 5 miniature dachshunds. 

Skyler grew up in Grinnell, IA and graduated from BCLUW High School in 2014. She attended Marshalltown Community College and received her Associate of Arts degree and Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice. Skyler and her family have two dogs, Radar, a Boxer Mix, and Kane, a Blue Heeler. Skyler has had many pets over the years including lizards, turtles, guinea pigs, hamsters, cats and dogs. In her free time she enjoys attending Super cross races, going to book club and spending time with her friends and family.

Sydney is from Urbandale Iowa where she attended Des Moines Christian School and graduated in 2017. After graduating she moved to Georgia and was a Vet Tech at a clinic down there but missed Iowa and moved back home. Sydney has been in Grinnell for 2.5 years and lives with her fiancé, their 4 Labs (Rush, Raena, Kobe & Bond) a chiweenie (Rizzo) and cat (Nike). In her free time she enjoys hunting with her Labs, biking and being with her loved ones.
